Lila
Moore has been immersed in the world of the creative arts
since childhood. Her visionary poems were published when she
was only a child and she spent most of her time painting her
dreams and choreographing her local school shows. Whilst studying
in the School for Art Teachers in Tel-Aviv she discovered
the creative language of video art and performance art and
became a leading performance artist. Her performance Anima
Urbana- The City Spirit was created and performed in the October
Gallery in London. The piece was transformed into an original
video-dance, shot in the streets of London, and made in collaboration
with the ICA, Institute of Contemporary Art in London. The
video received special award for innovation in Brighton video
festival. She graduated Central Saint Martins College of Art
and Design with MA in Independent Film and Video where she
created a 16mm film accompanied by live performance titled
Traps. Depicting the conflict between the Spirit, personified
by a woman (herself) and a Prisoner of the material world
(personified by a young man).
During
that time she had experienced a personal revelation on the
power of imagery to bring about transformation and healing
in a tangible way. As a result she decided to shift the course
of her creative work and research that runs in parallel as
a form of theoretical reflection, to an exploration of the
healing and transforming powers of image, movement, colour
and sound. She integrated this interest with her PhD research
and practice in Dance on Screen: Choreography for the Camera
and the Screen as an original art form. She was awarded with
a doctorate from Middlesex University.
Blue
Planet was founded in 2000 whilst she was still a student
and after her graduation she began producing The Oasis Experience
meditation programmes inspired by the healing powers of imagery,
movement, colour and sound. She also created a series of Desert
Dances, short dance films inspired by mythic themes and the
eternal quest for self and universal knowledge.
During
2004-2006 she worked on a research project on Spirituality
and Film in London Metropolitan University. She introduced
the Spiritual Cinema Circle to students and to many Londoners
by running a SCC community for 3 years. Lila was involved
in the Spiritual Cinema in St James, Piccadilly where her
films were screened. She led a series of film events and Spiritual
Cinema Circle inspired workshops in central London with Heather
Andrews Dobbs of Spiritual Connections.
In
2007 she is participating in International Spiritual Film
Festivals as a guest speaker and filmmaker. She leads a series
of workshops on the Divine Feminine in the cinema with a focus
on the new genre of Spiritual Cinema. She was invited to lecture
on healing images and the use of her meditation video programmes,
including spiritual films, in therapy in a number of academic
institutes.
Blue Planet is co- producing an inspirational documentary
and in post-production of a dance-inspired film journey.
